Brillian works with a wide range of US-based small and mid-sized businesses. Here's what you need to know about eligibility.
Revenue range
Brillian is designed for businesses with approximately $1–25 million in annual revenue. Businesses that fall slightly outside this range may still be eligible — if you're unsure, contact the Brillian team or if you're a business owner, ask your financial advisor.
Geography
Brillian currently works with US-based businesses only.
Business health
Businesses should be in normal operating health — meaning they are not in the process of a forced sale, liquidation, or similar distressed situation.
Industry
Brillian's platform and valuation methodology are not restricted to specific industries. Brillian incorporates industry-specific benchmarking data across a broad range of sectors, making it applicable to most types of operating businesses regardless of what you do.
That being said, there are some industries and businesses that Brillian won't be the best fit for:
Real estate-heavy and other asset-heavy businesses often require specialty appraisers or in-person appraisals to accurately value the underlying assets, which falls outside Brillian's methodology.
Early-stage tech companies are also a poor fit — their high growth rates, revenue variability, wide range of applicable multiples, and general unpredictability (often compounded by venture backing) make them difficult to value using Brillian's approach.
Business structure
Brillian works with various business ownership and entity structures. The owner questionnaire captures ownership details as part of onboarding, and Brillian's team can accommodate different structures in the valuation process.
